Wagyu-breed testing for inherited recessive disorders - July 5th, 2010
The first AgProDx Testing suite is launched!AgProDx is pleased to present a new test suite for five separate recessive mutations that are commonly inherited in some Wagyu cattle. They are:
- Band 3 (Spherocytosis)
- Chediak Higashi Syndrome
- CL-16
- Factor 11 deficiency
- Factor 13 deficiency
AgProDx was asked to develop the genetic tests for these published mutations in March, 2010. After an intense R&D phase from April-June, the scientists at AgProDx have created accurate tests for each of the above disorders. Please see our Testing Services page for more details.
